**Medical Office Assistant/Transcriptionist**

SouthMount Medical Imaging is a well-established Outpatient clinic in Hamilton, Ontario, located in a beautiful new medical building in an up-and-coming area on Stoney Creek Mountain. We are owned and operated by the radiologists of the Juravinski Hospital and Cancer Centre.

We specialize in providing X-rays, Mammograms, Bone Mineral Density Scanning, and ultrasound. We are an accredited OBSP facility. At Southmount Medical Imaging we are committed to providing exceptional service in a timely fashion with state-of-the-art imaging and highly trained, friendly technologists. Our team consists of approximately 25-30 staff members.

**Qualifications**
- Must be Reliable
- Must have experience/knowledge with Medical EMR (electronic filing, scanning etc)
- Ability to manage high telephone volumes
- Experience or education in medical administration, or a similar field
- preferred
- Must be able to multi-task and set priorities
- Must be detail-oriented and well organized
- Must have experience with medical/radiology transcription

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Graduate of a recognized medical secretarial or medical office assistant certificate program
- Over the phone or In-person appointment bookings
- Patient registrations
- Accuracy in typing and transcription skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to establish and balance competing priorities in a challenging and changing work environment
- Process reports (print and fax)
- Coordinate with technologist, supervisor, or manager and help our current front desk staff with any additional administration work they may have.
- Perform cross-functional responsibilities as assigned.

**Work remotely: No**

Immediate opening.

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
