**Boeing Canada Operations Ltd.** is currently looking for a **U**niversity Partnerships Program Lead** to join their team under the Enterprise Technology Office (ETO).

The Enterprise Technology Office (ETO) reports to the Chief Technology Officer and bridges technology and strategy by connecting business needs for future products and services to technology capabilities. The ETO facilitates the development of these capabilities through Research and Development (R&D) portfolio optimization, Boeing’s global network - including venture engagements, external partnerships and technology transition best practices.

We execute a number of university research partnerships focused on technology and talent development aligned to Boeing’s future R&D needs.

Join the ETO University Partnerships team and help us execute specialty programs including the Graduate Researcher Program and Visiting Professor Program. Our team is responsible for enabling the following across Boeing:

- Lead and integrate global research engagement strategy
- Leverage and capitalize on Boeing-sponsored research, aligned with future technology needs
- Develop and hire talent from top tier universities
- Provide thought leadership for an integrated global university strategy

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Applies a clear, connected and consistent approach to the communication and execution of the ETO University Partnership strategy
- Fosters a culture of business leadership, driving project management discipline, strategic thinking, standard work and a sense of urgency to meet organizational commitments
- Collaborates (including integration and strategy) with the University Partnership Program to maximize potential and outcomes of the numerous specialty programs linked back to higher level objectives and goals
- Executes the Boeing Graduate Researcher Program (PhD research internships) including the following:

- Identification of positions with business units, hiring managers, and the research portfolio manager and their project Principle Investigators
- Partnering with Human Resources and hiring managers to execute the annual requisition and hiring process
- Planning and execution of the 12-week program including a week-long Summit, Tech Tags and mentoring
- Leading international expansion of the program
- Develops and executes additional PhD Hiring Programs including National Science Foundation Fellowship Sponsored industry internships and the Boeing/CSIRO Industry PhD Program
- Develops, plans and executes the Visiting Professor Program allowing selected professors from our University Innovation Program to visit Boeing for a multi-week period during the summer aligned to a specific R&D focus area need
- Develops the Boeing Connects Library, a compilation of R&D presentations and speakers that University Focals can request to present at a partner university
- Develops program plans and schedules for the specialty programs and integrates the details with ETO processes.
- Provides executive level status update on program progress to various senior leaders across Boeing
- Willing/able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally

**Basic Qualifications**:

- 5+ years of experience with program management, project management and/or business operations
- 5+ years of experience with leading multi-disciplinary teams to meet aggressive schedules
- 5+ years of experience leading by influence, without formal authority
- 3+ years of experience in planning, organizing, facilitating and/or executing large scale meetings and events
- Must have post-secondary education
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
- Must be legally able to work in Canada

- 5+ years of experience working with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Experience with technology or innovation management
- Experience with strategy, technology and portfolio management
