**What you’ll do**

- Provide coordination and administrative support to the Institute for Global Health team to develop, review and execute a project plan that builds a community of practice in global health for nurses and allied health at BC Children’s and Women’s Hospital. Engage with health professionals across campus in global health through regular meetings, events, communications and interest groups.
- Under the supervision of study investigators, review research protocol and study design. Review and explain the purpose of the study, explain consent forms to study participants and research assistants. Support the preparation of study documents including Research Ethics Board submissions and correspondence, and required regulatory documents as necessary.
- Write and prepare manuscripts for submission to peer reviewed journals, grant submissions, publications, abstracts and posters. Contribute to literature reviews and syntheses
- With support from lead researchers, collect, organize, preprocess data, conduct research analyses, review data quality, and interpret study results.
- Support the development of partnerships and collaborations with healthcare workers in global health research and/or quality improvement activities by collegially sharing information and providing guidance around project specific activities or research methods as needed by the global health project.
- Communicate project updates to relevant local and international partners. Presenting findings of research results and/or partnership building and educational activities at in-services, hospital lunch and learns and conferences.
- Identify new potential research and educational partnerships and collaborations in nursing and allied professions with investigators, staff and students across C&W campus interested or engaged in global health.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
**What you bring**
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in an allied health discipline.
- Minimum of one (1) year recent related experience in a health care setting working with a wide range of service providers.
Skills & Knowledge
- Demonstrated interest in clinical research.
- Demonstrated relevant clinical research knowledge.
- Knowledge of global children’s and/or women’s health.
- Knowledge of research process and methodology.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Commitment to upholding the shared responsibility of creating lasting and meaningful reconciliation in Canada as per TRC (2015) and BC's Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (2019).
