Contribute to establishing and maintaining high quality compliance status of all products handled by Viscofan Canada Inc in accordance with Canadian GMP and Health Canada regulations for the distribution and use of Direct Food Contact packaging.

Manage all request from business partners including compliance documents and questionnaires, supplier qualifications, SOP’s for document control, Change Control, CAPA Closure and Effectiveness. Provide support to customer service and sales technicians with respect to customer claims, complaints, and requests for documentation.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES FOR THIS JOB**
- Perform and follow up on compliance activities and documentation with regards to business partners requests for information.
- Provide QA expertise to business partners, which include customers, sales technicians, customer service and suppliers.
- Create, collect, review, approve and distribute all documentation required by our business partners.
- Process product quality complaints of marketed products including Issuing CAPA reports, following up on CAPA request with our suppliers and responding to customers.
- Participate in deviation investigations through deep root cause analysis (5-whys, fish bone, etc.) and help establish corrective/preventive actions.
- Perform internal inspections/self-assessments and participate in regulatory inspections.
- Perform supplier audits.
- Train personnel on regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures of the BRCGS for packaging standard
- Track, request, and compile documentation for the compliance status of all sister sites.
- Maintain specifications up to date for all distributed and converted product.
- Other QA duties as assigned.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB**

**EDUCATION**:

- Bachelor’s degree.
- Understanding of Food Microbiology

**EXPERIENCE**:

- 5 years experience in a quality assurance role.
- Experience in regulatory affairs and compliance requests a must.
- Knowledge of direct food contact packaging is an asset.
