TIL-KA Construction Inc. - DKI is a General Construction and Restoration Company with over 28 years of experience and can handle all of our customers’ building, renovation and disaster clean-up needs. Our company focuses on residential and light commercial projects including window & door installations, new home construction, and interior/exterior home and commercial renovations projects.

As an Emergency Restoration Technician, you will play a crucial role in responding to and mitigating the effects of natural disasters, accidents, and other emergencies that result in property damage.

**Responsibilities**

You will be responsible for assessing the extent of the damage, implementing restoration procedures, and ensuring that affected properties are returned to pre-loss conditions. This position requires a combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication to work effectively in fast-paced and often stressful situations. Key responsibilities include:

- **Emergency Response**: Respond promptly to emergency restoration calls, often on short notice, to assess and address the immediate impact of disasters such as floods, fires, storms, or other related incidents. Safely navigate and assess potentially hazardous situations, prioritizing tasks based on the severity of the damage.
- **Damage Assessment**: Conduct thorough assessments of property damage, documenting and recording findings to develop an effective restoration plan. Utilize tools and equipment to measure and evaluate the extent of water, fire, mold, or other damage.
- **Restoration Procedures**: Implement restoration procedures, including water extraction, drying, dehumidification, cleaning, and disinfection, depending on the nature of the damage. Perform structural repairs, carpet and flooring replacements, and other necessary tasks to restore properties to pre-loss conditions.
- **Equipment Operation**: Operate and maintain a variety of specialized equipment, such as water extraction pumps, dehumidifiers, air movers, and other tools essential to the restoration process.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain detailed and accurate records of the restoration process, including before-and-after photos, equipment usage, and materials used. Provide comprehensive reports to clients, insurance companies, and internal teams detailing the scope of the damage and the steps taken to address it.
- **Communication**: Effectively communicate with clients, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to keep them informed about the restoration process. Collaborate with team members and other professionals, such as contractors and inspectors, to ensure a coordinated and efficient restoration effort.

J**ob Requirements**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in restoration or related fields are a plus.
- Previous experience in emergency restoration or a related field is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license and a reliable mode of transportation.
