What You’ll Do

As the Rental Manager, you will be responsible for renting equipment to retail or wholesale customers. Some of your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Proactively promote a safe work ethic, attitude, and workplace.
Develop and maintain adequate systems and procedures to provide a measure of efficiency of the department. Establish and direct paper flow for quotations, insurance company requests, rental agreements, project rentals, customer invoicing, purchase requisitions and payables, and management reports.
Provide proactive leadership and management of all staff within Rental Department.
Manage, train and mentor Rental Coordinators, Rental Account Managers, and all other Rental staff at multiple locations.
Identify and manage necessary staffing levels to achieve department’s objectives.
Monitor and guide staff’s performance and address any concerns or infractions in a timely manner as per company policy. Identify issues and opportunities to enhance staff job satisfaction and retention.
Provide on-going feedback to Rental staff based on observable behaviors and maintain logs for input when conducting performance evaluations to ensure a fair and equitable assessment.
Create and develop department’s annual Marketing and Business Development Plan. Assess and make changes as necessary to divisional strategy to maintain market-adopted service policy. Calculate and recommend adjustment of rental rates.
Call on potential customers, prospects, and businesses to develop new relationships / partnerships and introduce Calmont Group and its product lines as a viable and long-term business option, while focusing on major and long-term accounts.

What We’re Looking For

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines.
- Post-Secondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Excellent Customer Service skills with a history of exceeding customers’ expectations, as well as the ability to build effective relationships.
- Prior supervisory/managerial experience in Rental or related industry preferred.
- Previous profit and loss budgetary responsibility.
