Vancouver, Canada PHSA Full time

**Coordinator, Program and Account Management**

Indigenous Health

Vancouver, BC (remote work option)

The Coordinator, Program and Account Management, Indigenous Health will have the exciting opportunity to join a new and innovative Indigenous led team where we continue to work towards dismantling and disrupting white supremacy throughout the organization. Our Indigenous Health team continually works towards eliminating Indigenous-specific racism and hardwiring Indigenous cultural safety and humility across PHSA and the health system. The Indigenous Health program works provincially throughout B.C. therefore, remote work is an option from any location within the province. We are willing to mentor and work toward developing skills and capacity with the successful applicant.

Pursuant to section 42 of the British Columbia Human Rights Code, preference will be given to applicants of Indigenous Ancestry. We invite applicants to self-identify within their cover letter and/or resume.

**What you’ll do**
- Work in collaboration with program leaders to support and respond to financial and business needs such as statistical, critical data, resource utilization, and planning, analysis, monitoring, forecasting, costing and reporting.
- Prepare analytical reports on revenues, expenditures, trends and projections and identify, investigate and respond to variances and errors.
- Maintain data and account/budgeting documentation and design department account management and data reporting mechanisms that effectively and efficiently meet required information needs.
- Provide planning, program development, and project management support for new initiatives and business cases. Provide leadership in the development of processes to analyze the functionality and effectiveness of program delivery and recommend improvements.
- Analyze operational problems and recommend innovative solutions by critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, deconstructing high-level information into details, abstracting up from low-level information to a general understanding, distinguishing user requests from the underlying true needs, and driving and challenging business assumptions.

**What you bring**

**Qualifications**
- A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in Business or Health Administration, Management Information Systems, Health Informatics or related discipline
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in complex business/operational planning and analysis, and project/program management, preferably in a large, multi-site health care environment.
- Pursuant to section 41 of the British Columbia Human Rights Code, preference will be given to applicants of Indigenous Ancestry. **We invite applicants to self-identify ancestry within cover letters and/or resume.**

**Skills and Knowledge**
- Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian colonial impacts on Indigenous people in social and health contexts and knowledge of health issues, and especially the determinants of health, legislation and policy affecting Indigenous people.
- Knowledge and experience in project management, strategic planning and project implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and perform complex statistical and trend analyses, projections, forecasts and information presentation using Microsoft Office suite and a variety of information systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability in preparing professional reports and presentation materials.
- Ability to work under pressure and multi-task without supervision.

**What we bring**

Every PHSA employee enables the best possible patient care for our patients and their families.
