**Medical Receptionist**

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Greet patients, check in on patients, verify patient’s insurance, scheduling, etc.
- Answering phones, taking messages, scheduling patients, checking patients in and out, etc.
- Filing medical records and insurance claims.
- Triage referrals and booking new patients within a timely manner.
- Schedule patient appointments; call patients to confirm appointments, and call to notify patients about upcoming appointments.
- Followup on "no shows".
- Process insurance claims; prepare and file medical records for various insurance companies.
- Keeps a safe and clean office by complying iwth the procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Maintains inventory and equipment sterilization.
- Work well under pressure; multitask; work quickly but thoroughly.
- Work with a team to perform various tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.

**Qualifications**:

- Medical office experience is required (2-3 years).
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Motivated and takes initiative; quick to problem solve and address sudden requests.
- Customer service oriented and detail-oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (specifically Oscar, Ocean) is an asset.
- Experience working in a medical specialist's office (e.g. OBGYN) is an asset.

**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

- DCS / DEC (preferred)

**Experience**:
