**Job Description**:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for growing profitable sales in a vertical segment for Bosch Rexroth in Canada, primarily within Factory Automation. The Business Development Manager will also look to identify and communicate opportunities to grow sales for all other business units within Bosch Rexroth Corporation. In this role you will:

- Identify target customers through market intelligence, research and knowledge of the market
- Be the door opener, tenaciously pursuing targets to convert them from prospects to customers
- Effectively convey the Rexroth value proposition to a specific Market Segment
- Act as business driver (industry expert) for a specific industry for current and future profitable sales growth by identifying and executing our market growth strategy
- Provide current and forecast market intelligence data for product rollouts, impacts of mergers and acquisitions, changes within management at customers, competitors and the like
- Pursue new projects by working with sales on identifying new opportunities, presenting a targeted value proposition, including training of the regional sales organization and distributors on market needs
- Within all Factory Automation business areas (Automation and Electrification, Assembly Technology and Linear Technology) promote Bosch Rexroth products, solutions and service and likewise for all other Bosch Rexroth business areas including Industrial, Mobile and Compact Hydraulics, Mobile Electronics and Large Hydraulic Drives.
- Drive value proposition together with Marketing to promote Bosch Rexroth technology a specific market through trade shows, industry presentations, speaking engagements, case studies and success stories.

**Qualifications**:
**Experience/skills**
- Mechanical, Electronic or Mechatronic engineer (or equivalent).
- MBA is a strong asset

**Experience/skills**
- 5+ years of sales/marketing experience in promoting related products to industrial accounts.
- Strong technical background and aptitude.
- Inventory planning experience in industrial products.
- Above average communication and organizational skills.
- Sufficient computer skills to organize data and prepare presentations

- Ability to speak German is a definite asset but not a requirement

Additional Information
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in sales and/or sales management of automation products
- Detail-oriented, self-starter, self-motivated
- Track record of sales success in new and emerging markets
- Works well within a team environment, utilizing indirect authority to accomplish outcomes and meet customer demands
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable in front of a technical audience as well as in the C suite
- Knowledge of Rexroth Factory Automation product lines is a plus
- Solid understanding of electromechanical principles and automation machinery operation
- 10+ years of factory automation sales experience
- Possesses a level of tact and diplomacy necessary to communicate effectively in difficult situations
