**Job Requirements**
- Experience in construction supervision is generally required, but is not necessarily limited to the roofing industry.
- To assist with all Service Department needs related to customer service, supporting account managers, general administration and senior management.
- Input information and create accurate work orders utilizing our proprietary Customer Relationship Management program. Create detailed service reports and costing breakdowns for completed work orders.
- Proofreading and formatting of service-related quotations and reports.
- Provide daily updates and correspondence with client base as needed.
- Attending new construction and re-roofing tender site meetings as well as working directly with building owners.
- Providing fast accurate pricing for roofing projects noted above.
- Assembling detailed roof replacement quotations and budget presentation reports.
- Communicating with clients, consultants and/or engineers throughout the bidding portion of potential projects.
- Develop new client relationships while maintaining our current client base.
- Ability to read and comprehend job specifications and contract documents. Accuracy and attention to detail is necessary.
- Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to clients, consultants, and other employees within the company as needed.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems in a creative manner. Problem solving skills are a must.
- Ability to relate well to all kinds of people, can build constructive and effective relationships using diplomacy and tact.
- In liaison with office and project management, supervising roofing foremen and all commercial roofing field operations.
- Overseeing in progress production work to ascertain appropriate schedule and to certify that labour and material for individual projects meet allotted budgets.
- Monitoring and ensuring that safety rules on site are adhered to in relation to both project specific plans and company safety policies.
- Ensuring safety paperwork, including safety talks, JSA’s and Inspections on individual sites are carried out.
- Working with roofing foreman to address material requirements as projects move forward.
- Working in liaison with the Purchaser and Fleet/Equipment Manager to schedule material and equipment shipments, deliveries and loading.
- Working directly with on-site inspection/consulting to rectify or enhance required installation details deliberating with project management as necessary.
- Communicating with architects, engineers, consultants, building operators, building owners, property managers, as necessary.
- Engaging in daily discussions with management and disseminating information to foreman and crews.
- Providing leadership to foremen and crews while ensuring company policies are adhered to.
- Being aware of and being prepared to act upon company disciplinary policy.
- Managing and dealing with job site crisis, emergencies and/or unforeseen issues as necessary.
- Liaising, coordinating and communicating with subcontractors (gravel removal, cranes, HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, etcetera) for proposed and/or actual work on site.
- Recruiting new workers to the company.
- Taking part in training of production and service crews.
- Ensuring daily crew hours are forwarded to management team and/or input in job cost control program.
- Preparing and tracking all paper work (inspection reports, deficiency reports, change orders, etcetera) relative to individual jobs and dispense to management.
- Assisting in pre-project hazard assessment, set-up, pre-load, mobilization, production and demobilization.
- Ensuring professionalism and cleanliness at all job sites.
- Must be a self-motivated person with the ability to work at fast-paced professional level.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills/ Qualifications**:

- High school diploma a must. College degree a plus.
- 3-5 years’ construction (roofing) estimating/supervisory/management experience a plus.
- Knowledge of various flat roofing systems: e.g. SBS, EPDM, TPO, PVC, BUR, Coatings etc.
- Ability to read and comprehend bid specifications and contract documents. Accuracy and attention to detail is necessary.
- Good oral/written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information to clients, consultants, and other employees within the company as needed.
