We are currently seeking a friendly and professional Administrative Assistant to join our team. As the first point of contact for our company, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in providing a positive and welcoming experience for our visitors and callers.

Please note that this is a contract position.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
As part of our team, you will be responsible for:

- Greet and welcome visitors with a warm and courteous demeanor
- Handle inquiries from clients, customers, and the general public in a polite and helpful manner
- Maintain a neat and organized office, ensuring it reflects a professional image
- Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry and filing as needed
- Coordinate office supplies and manage inventory as necessary
- Provide support to other administrative staff and departments as required
- Maintain security and confidentiality of information and adhere to company policies
- Help stakeholders with technical issues, including but not limited to internet connection, Microsoft Office Suite, and etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Polite, professional, and outgoing personality
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity
- Familiarity with office equipment, including phone systems and office software
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to travel across GTA
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Superior customer service skills and punctuality
- Comfortable with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other video-conference platforms

*
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is a plus
- Cadets or military experience is a plus
- Experience with videoconferencing equipment and software is an asset

**WORK HOURS**:
August to December, with possibility to extend.

While members are contacted for various projects, be prepared to work about 10 to 20 hours per week on:

- Weekdays and Weekends:_
- Thursday: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm_
- Friday and Saturday: 7:30 am to 12:30 pm_

**LOCATION**:
Downtown Markham

Contract length: 4 months
Part-time hours: 10-20 per week

**Salary**: $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed
