Job Overview
The Lead Business Analyst provides Information Management and Information Technology (IMIT) planning, business analysis, project management, implementation support and client support services for BCA program areas. Reporting to the Manager, IT Services Management, this position will lead various Vendor Management activities, including process optimization, vendor performance management, and vendor relationship-building. This position may also lead ITIL-related activities such as process development and documentation and service metrics reporting, as needed during the term.
You need to be a proactive, detailed-oriented, analytical, customer-focused individual that is able to synthesize complex information in order to understand issues. You are able to prioritize tasks, coordinate resources and make sound decisions that contribute to the success of the organization. You enjoy breaking apart complex tasks and coming up with innovative solutions to completing those tasks according to a predefined fixed schedule. You work well at all levels of the organization.
Relationship-building skills, communication skills and organizational ability are key to being successful in this role. You must be able to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people, build teams, and support cross-functional teams within the organization. This role requires strong verbal and written communication skills (both technical and non), as well as facilitation skills to conduct information gathering sessions with relevant stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities- Applies the theory of business analysis in the planning, reengineering, requirements gathering for business environments, operations, processes and practices for projects.- Provides consultation and advice to management on business solution approaches, risks, efficiencies, and costs for important corporate initiatives.- Lead the planning and management of multiple systems projects including defining the objectives, priorities, timelines and resource requirements and leading systems professionals for the development of new or enhanced products and services for internal and external customers.- Develops plans to ensure resource allocation and utilization is sustainable to meet project delivery dates and ongoing operations.- Conducts high level analysis of possible program/systems solutions including developing new concepts, identifying impacts and internal and external linkages, and consulting with internal and external systems professionals.- Ensures standardized methods and procedures are used for the handling of changes to IMIT services to facilitate the eff
