Does this sound like you? BC Assessment is currently looking for two (2) permanent Business Analysts to join the IT Services Management team in our ITS Division. One Business Analyst will be doing work related to BC Assessment’s core function, producing the Assessment Rolls and Notices. The other Business Analyst will be supporting our IT Service Management tool, ServiceNow.

Job Overview

The Business Analyst is a critical position within IT that performs a wide variety of business assessments and feasibility studies, as well as provides support to clients by delivering business analysis services to understand and respond to user requirements, and recommend changes to processes and/or systems in response to client needs.

The Business Analyst participates in, coordinates, and creates teams as required to respond to issues, and provides a range of related services to targeted client groups.

The Business Analyst also recommends operational efficiencies to promote excellent customer service, and develop and maintain exceptional client relationships.

To be successful in this role

You should be familiar with business analysis theories, as well as basic project management principles and practices. You need to have strong knowledge of information systems and work processes; current technology infrastructure; and IT service delivery methodologies. You need to be a detail-oriented, analytical, system-based thinker that is able to synthesize complex information in order to understand issues, identify options, and support sound decision-making that contributes to the success of the organization. You enjoy breaking apart tasks and coming up with innovative solutions to completing those tasks according to schedule.

Relationship-building skills, communication skills (both technical and non) and organizational ability are key to being successful in this role. You must be able to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people, including BCA staff at all levels and external partners.
