We are looking for a Transportation Specialists Negociator to effectively manage various aspects of transportation operations including inbound shipments from Mexico and US affiliates, inbound ocean freight, customs processes, national outbound shipments, returns and claims, parts shipments, home delivery, installations, and system administration.
**Job Summary**:
As a Transportation Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing transportation operations across various domains including inbound and outbound shipments, customs processes, returns, claims, and system administration. Your responsibilities will involve negotiating cost-effective solutions, managing carrier relationships, ensuring compliance, and driving efficiency in logistics processes.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Inbound Operations: Negotiate cost levels, monitor expenses, manage budget variances, and ensure on-time service standards for inbound shipments from Mexico and US affiliates.
- Inbound Ocean Freight: Cultivate relationships with carriers, oversee tender processes, monitor costs, and manage freight audit resolutions.
- Customs Management: Ensure accurate and efficient customs clearances and cost management.
- Outbound Operations: Source cost-effective carriers, provide cost analysis, manage freight audit disputes, and oversee outbound shipments.
- Returns & Claims: Review and mediate carrier claims, monitor damage rates, and ensure compliance with KPI standards.
- Parts: Negotiate costs, monitor expenses, manage budgets, and ensure timely service standards for parts shipments.
- Home Delivery & Installations: Monitor costs, manage freight audit disputes, and organize delivery and installation activities.
- System Administration: Maintain ERP system routing, collaborate with internal IT for updates, and manage system settings related to transportation.
**Qualifications**:
- Business Degree or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical skills
- 3+ years of transportation experience with negotiation expertise
- Ability to work accurately and independently while collaborating effectively in a team
- High business acumen and process-driven mindset
- SAP experience preferred
