**Job description**:
Orano Canada is a leading producer in uranium in Canada, working to power the future with clean energy Our HR team is seeking a highly-motivated team player to contribute to our company’s success in a rewarding and enjoyable environment.
Human Resources Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with federal reporting requirements, including but not limited to annual Accessibility and Employment Equity/Pay Gap reports
- Prepare data analysis required for annual Corporate Social Responsibility submissions
- Create a welcoming environment for Saskatoon employees by providing informative and positive onboarding experiences for new hires
- Lead HR initiatives in visual management, including monthly reporting, trend analysis, and employee communications and updates
- Maintain strong and effective client relations with Saskatoon Client Group (employees and leadership)
- Deliver high quality, flexible human resources advisory services, responsive to the needs of the organization in line with legislative requirements, Orano policies and industry best practices
- Work collaboratively with HR colleagues to deliver excellent service and results in areas including Total Rewards, Performance Management, Succession Planning, Learning and Development, and HR Practices & Procedures
- Support continuous improvement in transactional work related to HR services
- Support systems and program development, ensuring appropriate HR systems and processes are in place to support operational needs. Ensure integrated management systems, HR processes and documentation remain accurate and up to date
Payroll Responsibilities:
- Assist and provide relief for the Senior Payroll Specialist which includes:
- Periodically administer payroll for Orano Employees (Hourly & Salaried)
- Calculate expatriate and secondee pay information including running shadow and split payroll
- Prepare and ensure accuracy of payroll related ledger postings, third party remittances and monthly reconciliations

**Ideal qualifications**:
- Qualities and skills we’re seeking:
- Bachelor’s degree in business with Human Resources major (or equivalent combination of education and working experience)
- 3-5 years of HR generalist experience
- Proficient knowledge of applicable employment legislation, acts and policies
- Previous experience in processing payroll or in-depth knowledge of payroll practices considered an asset
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel
- Able to communicate effectively, easily and patiently on a range of related topics and adapts easily to their customers at every level of the organization
- Appreciates an environment where teamwork and knowledge sharing is essential for the success of the department
- Adapts comfortably and quickly to a changing business environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and is able to translate these skills into actions
- A self-starter with a desire to work in a past-faced environment
- Has a proactive attitude and expresses ideas in the spirit of continuous improvement
- Ability to multitask, handle multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
- Willingness to embrace continuous learning
Work Location & Schedule:
- Saskatoon Corporate Office
- Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
- Potential for occasional travel to McClean Lake
