**Position Description**:
The Clinical Research Project Coordinator (RPC) works closely with the clinical research associate and P.I. to assist in clinical research operations. At this time, this position includes preparation and submission of at least two Research Ethics Board (REB) proposals for collaborative opioid stewardship projects. Also, (RPC) will participate in preparing materials for manuscript, poster, and conference podium presentations of current and recent research. Particular activities within these duties will include much of the following:
**Here's What You’ll Get To Do**:

- Coordinate development of collaborative research protocol between Departments of Anesthesia & Pain Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, Perioperative Services, Palliative Care Team and, Emergency Department
- Process, complete and submit REB proposal package for collaborative research projects
- Co-ordinate upload and dissemination of project documentation and family educational materials from previous projects, and regularly review presence and display of said materials on clinical unit, plus review and replenish stocks and supplies of hardcopy versions of these materials
- Conduct medical literature searches; maintain literature databases, identify new ideas and opportunities for projects
- Identify prospective recruits to projects via electronic health record & liaise with surgical teams
- Obtain informed consent for trial inclusion, ensure data collection and home follow-up post hospital discharge
- Explain educational materials to families and provide reminders of resources available to access information relative to ongoing study
- Conduct telephone interviews
- Conduct health chart reviews
- Gather and record all data points relative to each project encounter; liaise with Pharmacy and Fracture Clinic to obtain said information

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Post-secondary degree in sciences, social sciences or a health-related discipline.
- Previous research experience is preferred.
- Ability to function independently yet collaboratively within a team.
- Exemplary communication, interpersonal, facilitation and organizational skills.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, MEDLINE searches, shared drives).

**Employment Type**: Temporary Part Time 0.40FTE (4 month contract with possibility to extend)
