Primary Duties include:

- Daily financial transaction management. Includes processing invoices for payment; receiving payments and processing to Accounts Receivable; monitoring and reconciling purchasing card accounts; generating invoices and payment requests to be sent to Accounts Payable; creating/maintaining expense tracking spreadsheets and processes; etc.
- Provide office and staff support. Includes ordering office supplies; submitting equipment and maintenance requests; making travel arrangements on an as-needed basis; etc.
- Calculate annual royalty payments to authors, make cheque requests, and prepare and mail statements and cheques to authors. Royalty payments equal approximately 10% of annual net sales revenue.
- Assist with project and/or process development and planning to ensure more efficient service sand organization of the Press.
- Provide senior-level administrative support for the Director.
- Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Position Requirements:

- Grade 12 supplemented by the successful completion of some post-secondary education combined with a minimum of 5 years’ related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and viookups
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, including mail merges.
- Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and practices.
- Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgements on confidential or sensitive issues.
- Proven attention to detail and a record of accuracy.
- Ability to identify reporting needs and build complex reports using a variety of tools.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and/or projections.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks and projects to deadline in a fast-paced environment.
- Database and records management and/or maintenance skills.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Knowledge and awareness of University of Regina systems, processes, policies and procedures is a definite asset.
- Ability to exercise mature judgement and critical thinking.
- Ability and desire to work with data.
- General understanding of GAAP.
- Knowledge of accounting, finance, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and PowerPoint and willingness to learn.
- Knowledge and skill in the use of Banner, Caspur, FAST, and GroupWise is preferred.
- Prior experience in the publishing industry is preferred.

Physical Demands Pay Grade CUPE Phase 5 Salary Range $52,561.60 - $70,961.80 Annually Status Permanent Work Hours
