Administrative Assistant/receptionist

Kitchener Physiotherapy & Wellness is looking for a reliable, punctual, motivated and a good team player front desk “medical secretary” to join our team part-time. We are multi-disciplinary clinic providing physiotherapy, massage therapy, orthotics, compression stockings, acupuncture and bracing services.
**Job duties and responsibilities**:
- Ensure maximum client satisfaction through a high quality service approach
- Greeting patients and directing them to assessment/treatment room
- Electronically book appointments for physiotherapy and massage therapy services
- Confirm patient appointments and follow ups
- Retrieve insurance information of clients and bill insurance companies online
- Keep record of end of the day and financial spread sheet
- Answer phones in a professional manner
- Maintain clinic cleanliness and neat appearance
- Preparing charts/files for new and repeated patients
- Keep a track of inventory of clinical supplies
- Scan, Fax and photocopy documents
- Respond to patients/insurance companies inquiry and provide them with detailed information on our services
- Perform other various duties as assigned
**Required skills**:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong telephonic skills
- Good team player
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft tools: Office, Excel and Word
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Strong Organization skills
**Required Education/Experience**:
- **Must have minimum one year of experience as a Receptionist**:
- Education: Medical Office Administration education or equivalent
- Experience in medical field and/or physiotherapy clinic is an asset
- Experience with WSIB, Extended Health and MVA billing is an asset
