**Responsibilities include**:

- Engage directly with clients, you will be client facing, to ensure excellent service is being provided
- Establish peer-to-peer relationships with your clients (DM, PR, Comms and/or Content)
- Ensuring clients are satisfied with Magnolia’s services and fulfillment
- Conduct and lead client meetings and schedule quarterly reviews with clients
- Handle and resolve all client and internal team PR and Communications queries
- Responsible for growing client loyalty and retention
- Assist the strategic counsel on your accounts in developing marketing strategies/recommendations based on client conversations and business objectives, including executing on those strategies, as applicable
- Develop an effective and open line of communication for clients; be available outside of office hours, as needed, to answer urgent client queries
- Identify account risks and opportunities
- Ensure client retention; reduce churn of clients
- Create opportunities for strong, long-lasting relationships with clients
- Project manage multiple client accounts
- Conduct media outreach on a daily basis to local, national and international media outlets to secure media opportunities for clients
- Develop and maintain strong media relationships
- Research editorial opportunities for clients, as well as stats and evidence supporting press releases and pitch ideas, articles related to key client topics, reporter bios and publication background, etc.
- Daily media monitoring for news and trends pertinent to specific clients’ businesses
- Compile media lists and editorial calendars as needed
- Create media briefing documents with detailed and insightful notes to prepare clients for interview appointments
- Write relevant and compelling press releases, byline articles and media pitches that include a strong hook
- Brainstorm and devise news angles and campaign ideas to grab media interest
- Step-up to daily tasks of the day and look beyond key responsibilities to establish new skills
- Design comprehensive media reports demonstrating Magnolia gathered integrated communications results
- Responsible for the maintenance of existing/new subcontractor relations supporting the account
- Work with managers/program leads to identify gaps to support progressing clients better, as needed

**About You**:
**Education**:

- Desired Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field

**Experience**:

- At least 4 years’ experience in marketing, agency experience an asset
- Strong understanding of marketing strategies and their relation to business objectives
- Experience in B2B marketing is an asset
- Excellent listening and communication skills are a must
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong presentation skills, including a calm and professional personality
- Strong, effective listening skills to hear clients’ needs and offer solutions that addresses and solves their problems
- Ability to function in high pressure situations, including having difficult conversations
- Creative problem solving
- Decision making abilities
- An analytical and critical thinker
- Strong at building new relationships and maintaining existing ones

- Experience in managing team members with a variety of skill sets and experience
