We are currently seeking an Environmental Assessment Engagement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and implementing effective engagement strategies to ensure that communities have their voices heard in the environmental assessment process.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public engagement, communications, or a related field, with experience in creating plain language materials and using various digital and in-person tools to engage with diverse audiences. You will work closely with senior leaders, project teams, and other stakeholders to develop and implement engagement plans that meet the needs of the community.

To be considered for this position, you must have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as public engagement, communications, or business administration.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a role primarily responsible for communications and/or public engagement.
  • Experience creating effective engagement surveys and gathering and interpreting engagement-related data from diverse sources.
  • Strong writing skills and ability to produce clear, concise reports, briefings, and public-facing communications materials.

About This Position
This is a temporary position until April 1, 2026, with the possibility of extension or conversion to permanent status. Flexible work options are available, including telework agreements. An eligibility list may be established to fill current and future vacancies. This position can be based in a Natural Resource Sector office, and relocation assistance may be available.
