Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Public Relations Specialist to join our team at Granville College.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization, effectively communicating with various stakeholders
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on advertising and sales promotion strategies, tailoring recommendations to their specific needs
  • Respond promptly and professionally to written and oral inquiries, ensuring timely resolutions
  • Support the creation of high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, reports, and newsletters
  • Coordinate special events and promotions, fostering strong relationships with external partners
  • Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions
  • Gather and prepare communications materials, maintaining a robust database of relevant information
  • Establish and maintain effective contact with media representatives, securing coverage for the organization
  • Develop and deliver educational, publicity, and information programs, materials, and sessions, engaging audiences and promoting brand awareness
  • Create contracts for sports, literary, performance, or other events, ensuring seamless execution
Requirements and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 5-10 years of experience in a related field, with a proven track record of success
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as communications, marketing, or public relations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
  • A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle, for travel to meetings and events (if applicable)
Work Environment and Conditions:

This is a permanent, full-time position that requires working under pressure, meeting tight deadlines, and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

A valid work visa or Canadian citizenship/residency is required for this position.

Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
