**We are currently looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team to work on full-cycle bookkeeping and tax preparation for our business clients.**

This is a Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) firm focusing on the tax basis accounting and NTRs of owner managed based business, corporate tax, and individual tax. The position requires working from our office, and potentially away from our office at client’s premises.

This is a part-time position (20-30 hours per week) that will grow with the business. Days in office are flexible.

The focus is on growing our on-line/cloud services to existing and newly obtained clients. Experience in similar positions is not mandatory but appreciated.

Main Responsibilities
- Provide monthly bookkeeping functions to clients mostly cash transaction recording, bank and GL reconciliations, and accounts payable entry using various accounting programs
- Preparation of monthly working paper files supporting the unaudited financial statements (statement of financial position, statement of profit and loss, and other)
- Learning about new technology and accounting software in the industry
- Proactively suggest ways we can improve our client record keeping
- Some administrative duties will be required (filing, preparation of client letters, etc)
- Preparation of year end Compilation enagagemets following CSRS4200 standards within CasewareCloud RCT online, including structuring meaningful working papers
- Preparation of corporate tax returns T2
- Personal tax preparation (T1) that include investment portfolios, rental statements, and/or business statements

- You have solid computer skills including Excel and Outlook and other Office 365 programs
