**Course Number and Title**: BCH 242 Y - Introduction to Biochemistry

**Course Description**: This course is offered for Specialist students in Biochemistry, Immunology and Molecular Genetics. It is designed as a foundation course for those students wishing to pursue graduate studies in research or research careers within government and industry. The course is divided into five parts and covers bioinformatics, essential elements of protein and enzyme structure and function, biomembranes, and membrane proteins, metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and proteins, and molecular and cell biology.
