**Course description**: An introduction to the biological, environmental, and sociopolitical issues that influence human health and well-being. Topics include genetic variation within and across human populations, biological variation related to the environment, determinants of health and disease, and human behaviour and development.

**Estimated course enrolment**: 50 students

**Estimated TA Support**: 120 hours

**Class schedule**: Lectures on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.

**Sessional dates of appointment**: May 1, 2023 - June 30, 2023

**Salary (0.25FCE)**:
Sessional Lecturer 1: $4,591.21.

Sessional Lecturer 1(Long-Term): $4,820.78

Sessional Lecturer 2: $4,913.48

Sessional Lecturer 2 (Long-Term): $5,012.92.

Sessional Lecturer 3: $5,030.47.

Sessional Lecturer 3 (Long-Term): $5,131.08
- Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.

**Description of duties**:

- Co-preparing of course syllabus and course marking scheme;
- Co-teaching weekly lectures and tutorials;
- Co-marking assignments and exams;
- Providing office hours for academic counselling of students;
- Co-setting and marking assignments/exams;
- Co-administrating course in accordance with University regulations as described in the Faculty of Arts & Science Academic Handbook for Instructors;
- Co-supervising TAs.
