Our inclusive and progressive Christian community is looking for a collegial and dynamic **Operations Administrator **to serve our vibrant and diverse congregation.
As the **Administrator,** you will manage the **day-to-day operations** at the Centre for Peace office that supports church financial operations, facilities rentals and events. You will report to the Lead Minister and work closely with all Ministry Teams providing **ongoing support **as required.
The successful applicant will have progressive values consistent with those to which CMUC aspires.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- **Day-to-day operations: (60 to 65%) **_
- Lead a team of seven staff: Office Administrative Assistant, Facilities Operation and Maintenance of buildings & ground, Accounting Technician/Bookkeeper, Ceremonies Coordinator, Facility Hosts. o In consultation with the Lead Minister, hire, train and support new office staff o Act as primary point of contact for assigned staff, help staff to prioritize and plan their workload, conduct regular check-ins, resolve problems as required o Work with staff to continually improve processes and procedures, building a solid foundation for long-term sustainability o Conduct annual performance and salary reviews for assigned staff o Provide rental hosting backup as required
- Ensure smooth administrative operations including identification of technology solutions that support and enhance operations
- Regularly report on office/facilities operations and new projects
- Maintain an onsite administrative presence at the Centre for Peace.
- **Financial oversight and support: (10 to 15%) **_
- Responsible for preparation of overall CMUC budget
- Manage budgets/actuals related to the office and facilities operations
- Work closely with the Board and Lead Minister in achieving overall revenue goals related to facilities rentals.
- **Overall: (20 to 30%) **_
- Collaborate with Ministers (3) and provide support as required
- Support the Board and Board Committees as required
- Work closely with the Communications and Marketing Specialist
- Serve as the administrative point of contact for other CMUC staff and congregants
- Assess (with help) the current state of CMUC technology and determine technology plan for the future
- Ensure that membership, active ministries, leaders, volunteers and ceremonies (baptism, funeral and wedding) records are maintained

**TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED**:

- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
- Project management and supervisory experience
- Proven ability to guide and mentor teams
- Excellent computer skills in both Mac and PC environments
- Minimum 5 years professional office experience with post-secondary education in a related area
- Experience in a non-profit or faith-based organization, an asset

**TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT**:

- 30 hours per week with flexible hours that may vary from week to week. Some work may be conducted virtually.
- Current criminal record check required on acceptance of this position
