Le coordinateur des transports sera responsable, au sein d'une équipe, des besoins opérationnels permanents du service des transports et de la logistique de l'équipe d'administration des ventes.

Il/elle sera responsable de la planification et de la gestion des livraisons aux magasins et autres entrepôts, tout en veillant à ce que les expéditions se fassent dans les délais impartis. Il propose des solutions de rechange en cas de problème, tout en respectant les exigences du client en matière de livraison au coût le plus bas possible.

Le coordinateur des transports rend compte au superviseur des opérations de transport.

**Les tâches du coordinateur des transports sont, entre autres, les suivantes**
- Agir en tant que point de contact principal pour les tâches quotidiennes de transport.
- Coordonner tous les modes de transport, en veillant à ce que les livraisons soient effectuées à temps.
- S'assurer que l'équipement est disponible 24 à 48 heures avant la date d'expédition prévue. (par exemple, remorques, wagons).
- Coordonner les priorités avec l'entrepôt et les entrepôts externes.
- Résoudre les problèmes de transport au fur et à mesure qu'ils se présentent.
- Contrôler les opérations et analyser les commandes des clients pour les sept jours à venir afin de prévenir les problèmes et de prendre des mesures proactives en cas de problèmes potentiels.
- Suivre la disponibilité des équipements, les guider et prendre les mesures appropriées pour prévenir et résoudre les problèmes.
- Veiller à l'exactitude et à l'intégrité des données saisies dans le programme de transport.
- Mettre à jour et consulter quotidiennement le programme de transport.
- Se tenir au courant de toutes les activités liées au transport.
- Participer à divers projets en fonction des besoins.

- Bonne capacité à organiser, à établir des priorités et à suivre plusieurs dossiers à la fois.

**EXPÉRIENCE**
- Au moins 3 ans d'expérience dans le domaine du transport dans un environnement de vente au détail. (camions, conteneurs, intermodal)
- Connaissance et expérience dans le domaine de l'expédition. (un atout)
- Maîtrise de MS Office, en particulier d'Excel et de Power Point.

**Transportation Coordinator**

Full Time

Monday to Friday

The Transportation Coordinator will be responsible of a team for on-going operational needs for the transport and logistics department of the sales administration team.
He/She will be responsible for planning and managing deliveries to stores and other warehouses, while ensuring on-time shipments. The incumbent proposes alternatives when problems arise, consistent with the objective of the client's requirements for delivering at the lowest possible cost.
The Transport Coordinator reports to the Supervisor of Transport Operations.

**Transportation Coordinator tasks are, but not limited to;**
- Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day transportation tasks.
- Coordinate all modes of transport, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Ensure equipment is available 24-48 hours prior to expected ship date. (i.e. trailers, rail cars)
- Coordinate priorities with the the warehouse and external warehouses.
- Troubleshoot and act any transportation issues as they arise.
- Monitor operations and analyze customer orders for the next 7 days to prevent issues and take action proactively on potential problems.
- Track equipment availability, guide and take appropriate action to prevent and resolve issues.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data entered in the transport schedule.
- Update and consult the Transport schedule on a daily-basis.
- Keep up to date with all activities related to transportation.
- Assist on various projects as needed.

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**

**EXPERIENCE**
- At least 3 years of experience in the field of transportation in a retail environment. (trucks, containers, intermodal)
- Knowledge and experience in shipping. (an asset)
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Power Point.
