About the Opportunity
As our Operations Coordinator, you'll work 3 days per week (24 hours) with the team to manage all aspects of business operations. Ideally, you will be based in North Bay, Ontario to work directly with the Managing Director / CEO, or be able to travel to North Bay weekly to complete your work. At least some of your work week will be spent in the North Bay office with the expectation that you work from the office at least once a week.
Responsibilities
- Work with our accounting team to support financial operations including payroll, reviewing expense reports, filing and organizing expense receipts, and preparing monthly financial reports.
- Following up with clients to achieve accounts receivable targets.
- Responsibility for account payables to suppliers and subcontractors.
- Supporting Project Managers with setting up project filing systems in SharePoint and in Timeneye.
- Project administration and support tasks such as filing, booking meeting/workshop venues and catering, booking travel / logistics as requested by Project Managers.
- Work with the team to identify and implement solutions to streamline business processes.
- Travel to and work in our North Bay office a minimum of 1 day per week.
- Participate in weekly and ad hoc staff meetings to coordinate project work with other team members.
- Represent the company and act in a trustworthy, competent, and professional manner.
- Uphold the Company’s vision, mission, policies, and values.
Skills & Experience
- College diploma or university degree related to business operations management - including bookkeeping, accounting, business administration, office administration, project management, or similar.
- 1 - 5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of or experience using Timeneye, Wagepoint, and Quickbooks Online, would be an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with client communities, staff and leadership competently and respectfully, government agency representatives, the public, and stakeholder groups as required.
- Proficiency in French would be an asset.
- Minimum one year experience working remotely would be an advantage.
- Detail oriented and self-starter.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary of $32 - $42 / hour depending on experience.
- Hybrid work model with the expectation of working from the office (located in North Bay) at least once a week
- Paid time off options: Vacation; personal/sick time (plus statutory holidays in Ontario based on the Employment Standards Act)
