The Corridor Management Officer position is the primary feeder pool for the Planner and Senior Project Manager positions in the Corridor Management Section.

What can I expect to do in this role?

**In this role, you will**:

- Inspect the highway corridor and ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and policies
- Coordinate utility relocations
- Work with internal and external stakeholders such as ministry staff, municipalities, consultants, and the public
- Identify and resolve problems related to corridor management

How do I qualify?

**Mandatory**:
Engineering and Technical Skills
- You have demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles relating to utility relocation for the preparation/administration/acceptance of regional contracts.
- You can read and interpret highway and construction plans, reports, and site plans.
- You have an understanding of the land-use planning process, and highway design and construction.

Communication Skills
- You have proven interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with other office personnel and a wide range of external stakeholders such as the public, utility companies, developers, municipalities and elected officials.
- You have written communication skills to prepare documents such as permits, correspondence and briefing notes.
- You have the ability to provide advice and technical/legal information to clients who are unfamiliar with terminology.

Analytical, Organizational and Computer Skills
- You have demonstrated planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
