**Location **: Allen Rd/Sheppard Ave West **(Five days in office)**

Reporting to the CEO, the HR Coordinator will be the first point of contact for all new and existing employee HR questions and requests. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for managing a number of HR Administrative duties and HR projects including, but not limited to : recruitment, benefits, training and compliance.

**Compensation Commensurate with Experience**

**HR Responsibilities**
- Manages Full-Cycle Recruitment : including posting ads, interviews, verifying work-history and references, and onboarding (workspace for new hires).
- Preparing employment and related contracts on the company’s standard offer letters
- Ensure employee training is up to date by tracking and monitoring (First Aid, WHMIS, emergency procedures and coordinate trainings)
- Responsible for HR Administrative duties: maintaining detailed personnel files, organizing files, creating employment documents, running reports a
- Manage time off requests and leave of absence requests
- Ensuring performance reviews are completed on time
- Prepare announcements and draft communications as requested
- Administer employee benefit plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations ensuring accurate record-keeping and engagement with Payroll and insurance providers
- Foster positive employee relations and work to solve any employee issues that surface.
- Ensure Beta Calco is following all relevant laws, standards and regulations for employment health and safety
- Support other HR functions as assigned

**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Undergraduate degree or post-secondary diploma in human resources or related field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in a Human Resources field.
- Obtained or working towards CHRP designation.
- Strong skills using Microsoft Office, Google Suite and other HR information & payroll systems (ADP WFN an asset).
- Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed.
- Personable and positive demeanor. Enjoys working with a diverse range of individuals and ensures employee requirements and needs are met first.
- Professional integrity and sense of responsibility and accountability with the ability to handle data with a high degree of confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent collaborator and attentive listener with strong interpersonal skills.
- Able to work well in a fast paced and evolving environment handling stressful situations.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and able to improve performance through management feedback.
