Description:
The role of this position is multifunctional with a particular focus on accounting while also providing support to the front office, travel administration, event planning and general office administration.

**Responsibilities**:
Accounting
- Print invoices, date, highlight and attach purchase orders.
- Visa Reconciliation - reconcile all visa payments with details uploaded in Zoho expense app.
- Reconcile truck driver’s monthly float.
- Assist with preparation for bi-weekly cheque runs.
- Getting the cheque run ready for mail.
- Assist with matching packing slips.
- Following up with invoice approvals
- Prepare reconciliation of vendor and of customer statements
- Filing of paperwork for cheque runs/ wires / JOBs folders for invoice and payments.
- Support during Audit
- Entering the time
- cards into spreadsheets
- Petty Cash - maintain & replenish as required.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

Front office, travel and General office administration
- Front Office: Greet visitors to the office in a happy friendly professional manner, securing proper identification to allow entrance to the office and Plant.
- Switchboard: Responsible for directing all incoming calls to the proper extension in a happy, friendly professional manner.
- Travel administrator: Make all travel arrangements for travelling employees for work and customs paperwork for visitors.
- Help with event planning for company sponsored events.
- General office administration including timecard preparation, office supplies, front foyer video, lobby door security, office copiers maintenance, conference room maintenance, and conference room bookings.
- Responsible for all coffee machine duties (re-filling stock, making sure area is clean and sanitary)
- Manage all office supplies and orders as needed for all staff.
- Attain clean and organized front office reception area.
- Act as a floater for all departments, with the flexibility and willingness to help as needed to ensure they are a part of helping Laval grow.
- Maintain a positive and welcoming environment both to customers/visitors and coworkers.
- Maintain attendance record.

Required Training, Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word and Excel)
- Good grasp and working knowledge of basic accounting concepts.
- Quick and accurate data entry
- Detailed knowledge of the written and spoken English language, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Good phone etiquette and interpersonal attitude for greeting visitors.

Working Conditions and Demands of the Position
- Consistent work hours five days per week (8am to 4:30pm)
- Works at a computer for hours at a time
- Sense of organization
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strict confidentiality regarding all records that may be viewed or changed by the employee.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 45 per week
