**Your mission**:
To understand the customer experience and use this understanding to efficiently capture and distill the knowledge of Reliable Controls experts into content that is accurate, clear, concise, timely, and optimized for the needs of the customer and the organization.

**In this role you will**:

- Develop documentation for Reliable Controls public-facing API and software products
- Develop topic-based content with an emphasis on usability, consistency and adherence with our style guide to generate integrated help and other output formats
- Use Reliable Controls products like a customer to understand workflow, product operation, and potential customer pain points
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of the Technical Communications team
- Research, gather, and synthesize disparate information from various sources into cohesive, audience-friendly content
- Proactively contribute to improvements in technical content, quality assurance, and the overall development process

**You'll have access to**:

**This role might be right for you if you have**:

- A minimum of 3 years experience in software documentation, and any experience with API's or API documentation would be a huge asset
- Post-secondary education in an area such as technical or business communications would be preferred
- An interest in communicating technical information to a diverse audience
- A desire to learn and understand technology, tools, programming, and technical concepts
- A desire to be part of a highly functional team of technical professionals
- Proficiency in the use of Flare or another topic-based content authoring tool and experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- Ideally interest in either instructional, graphic, web design, or human-computer interaction
- Experience in an Agile software development environment
- Experience with building automation system products would be an advantage
- Curiosity and a sense of humour
