**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- You must excel at working in a team environment, and be effective at leading/coaching a small team.
- Respond to incoming complaints or credit decision escalation appeals (dealer/customers), ensuring they are handled in an efficient and satisfactory manner and referring others to Department Management.
- Act as primary referral point for subordinates requiring guidance and assistance in discussing and making a decision on complex deals.
- Provide system orientation training for newly hired analysts and act as an ongoing mentor/resource for team members and monitor and record progress on new analysts and trainees as required.
- Balance of analytical and sales skills to be able determine an applicant’s creditworthiness and possess the ability to sell your decisions to auto dealers, as well as those from others in the department.
- Analyze, evaluate and decision credit requests within authorized lending limits that are submitted by dealers while operating under the policies and procedures set out by the Company.
- Strong attention to detail and must be fluid with special assignments and scheduling.

Qualifications:

- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be an innovative thinker with strong ability for strategic vision.
- Be able to analyze credit data to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit.
- Achieve required credit quality and productivity metrics by ensuring all queues are worked to acceptable service levels.
- Have a strong knowledge of the consumer finance and banking environment.
- Strong Financial Statement analysis skills.
- Have an ability to work under pressure and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Have excellent negotiation and customer service skills.
- Have a strong work ethic.

**Experience**:

- High school diploma required.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field is preferred.
- Minimum three years of previous credit analysis experience.
- Fluently bilingual in French and English is required.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous leadership experience would be a definite asset
- Vehicle and/or leasing experience would be considered a definite asset.
