**Position Description**:
PRecision Oncology For Young peopLE (PROFYLE) is a multidisciplinary program integrating basic, translational and clinical research in the field of childhood, adolescent and young adult oncology. We are currently seeking a Program Manager to join our Team. In this role you will be a key member of the PROFYLE project team and will be responsible for a range of administration and coordination activities to facilitate the implementation of the Program’s projects, research, academic, and outreach work.

The PROFYLE team members are experts in clinical care, genomics, proteomics, biomarker analysis, pathology, biobanking, bioinformatics, drug development, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, patient advocacy, and bioethics. Together, they have developed a common research platform for tissue bio-banking, disease modeling, and molecular profiling (including genomic sequencing), and novel clinical trial design that builds on and complements the expertise in hospitals and research centres across Canada.

**KEY TASKS**:

- Participate in Program Steering Committee Executive meetings; contribute ideas for program advancement
- Organize and facilitate regular PROFYLE Node meetings; prepare meeting notes and identify action plans
- Organize annual retreats and international Scientific Advisory Board meetings
- Monitor interdepartmental and interinstitutional cost recoveries
- Review derivative research grant submissions to REB as well as funding agencies and PROFYLE partners
- Prepare annual and other required reports for partner funding agencies/institutions and foundations
- Assess data capture needs for each study/project
- Provide oversight of data coordination and study management
- Maintain knowledge of protocols; manage staff workloads/needs
- Organize scientific meetings/conferences
- Develop and maintain metrics used to measure program success

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- At minimum, a completion of a Master’s degree program or recognized equivalent in a health
- or science-related discipline
- Formal training in program management (PMP) is desirable
- A certification as a clinical research associate (e.g., SOCRA accreditation) would be an asset
- At least three (3) years’ experience in project management, budget development and management, multistakeholder collaboration
- Demonstrated supervisory/management experience, overseeing full-time employees in a clinical research environment
- Proven ability to work with great efficiency and to perform multiple concurrent tasks
- Possess leadership and managerial skills and have recognized experience in these areas
- High computer proficiency, familiarity of virtual meeting/conference programs (i.e., Zoom, Teams, etc.), and data collection and sharing tools (i.e., Microsoft 365 tools/apps, REDCap, REDCap Cloud, ATiM, CentraXX, etc.) is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective communications with other team members and to communicate with external collaborators and users.
- Excellent conflict resolution, team building, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and pay attention to detail
- Knowledge of applicable legislative, Hospital for Sick Children and/or departmental policies
- Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to institutional standards
