Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist oversees Excluded absence and disability files, including vacation and leaves, processing requests, and following up for updates as needed. Assists the Health and Safety Advisor in OHS programs to ensure compliance with WorkSafe BC, BC Worker’s Compensation Act, and OHS Regulation standards. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, the role provides HR expertise and drives employee engagement, retention and employee wellness.
The HR Generalist manages a mix of strategic, operational and administrative priorities to ensure human resources programs further the organization’s goals, are consistent across the organization, respect human rights, and are in alignment with the collective agreement and legislative standards

**Qualifications**:

Many forms of education and experience are valued, including volunteering, and lived experience of mental health/substance use/homelessness. Minimum education and experience include:
- 3-4 years of experience in a related field.
- A post-secondary education in Human Resources.
- A clear British Columbia Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check for working with vulnerable adults and/or children is a condition of employment with RainCity Housing. Applicants must be willing and able to receive a clearance under the Criminal Record Review Act.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
