Financial and Administrative Support Assistant

**Purpose**:
The Financial and Administrative Support Assistant provides administrative and financial support for the Communication and Public Affairs Division under the direction of the Associate Director, Business Intelligence and Planning.
**Education**:
Completion of a College diploma in business, accounting, or a related field.
**Experience**:
Minimum of 1-year recent experience with financial transaction coordination and reconciliation in a computerized environment, customer service, and administrative support including procuring, receiving and distributing equipment and assets.
**Skills**:
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective interpersonal skills to work with client groups/vendors and financial staff.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to demonstrate responsible, ethical, and professional conduct.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
