**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist in the ongoing development and implementation of a lean strategy and hoshin planning.
- Assist in the facilitation of CI Projects: DMAIC, Kaizen, and Just Do It; and process improvement teams.
- Assist in the administration of continuous improvement programs.
- Develop and deliver training material related to lean thinking, 5S, process improvement, facilitation, etc.
- Develop and deliver onboarding training related to lean and continuous improvement to new employees.
- Support process improvement and corrective/preventative action activities in all areas of the organization to resolve process problems, quality deficiencies, capacity restrictions, and food safety and health & safety issues.
- Assist in the development and promote the use of 5S and Visual Factory techniques in all areas of the organization.
- Maintain the 5S audit program (scored audits and champion audits).
- Coordinate the design and implementation of FlexPipe solutions to improve workplace organization.
- Conduct internal audits as required to maintain compliance with ISO 9001.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with ISO 9001 and SQF Code standards.
- Support other members of the organization as directed by the Manager, Process Improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company. Interact with all levels of the operation in support of Winpak’s ongoing registration to ISO 9001-2015, SQF Code, IMS certification, Total Quality Improvement programs, and internal standards for operations and quality.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**
- Post Secondary Education Required
- Certified Lean or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (minimum requirement), Black Belt preferred.

**Experience**
- 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Background in lean manufacturing, structured problem solving, and statistical process control would be an asset.

**Abilities**
- Strong computer experience and knowledge, ex. Minitab, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to facilitate and motivate others in a team environment.
- Good interpersonal, communication (verbal & written), and organizational skills.
- Team attitude: eager to cooperate with others with exceptional interpersonal communication skills (Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization, especially shop-floor personnel).
- Other combinations of education, experience, knowledge, and skills will be considered.
