**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Good **Working Knowledge** of the following processes:

- Internal Receiving
- Planning/Routing Shipments
- Order picking / Truck Loading
- Consolidating and maximizing loads for cost and service efficiencies.
- Dock / Doors - Planning Staging
- Rack - Storage Capacity
- Internal transfers from building to building
- Receiving loads - scheduling, off-loading and put-away.
- Appointment Calendars
- Directing drivers to correct receiving doors / building.
- Trim Room equipment / collection functions
- Material flow throughout the manufacturing facility
- Understand all levels of inventory - Lower Level, Raw, WIP, FG, Resale.
- Lay out of storage locations.
- Forklift training
- Battery Maintenance

The Supervisor is a role model regarding **_Safety_**:

- Diligently adheres to all company policies and procedures regarding safety and ensures that all employees throughout the plant do the same.
- Actively support the initiatives of the company’s joint Workplace Health & Safety committee. Attend monthly meetings of the committee as instructed by the department manager.
- Maintain standards for workplace cleanliness, ensuring cleaning checklists are complete.
- Monitors personnel, equipment and supplies in designated areas and ensure operations are performed in a safe and effective manner.
- Administers emergency first-aid treatment and, when necessary, ensures appropriate medical attention is obtained.
- Works with the Health & Safety Coordinator ensuring that all workplace incidents/accidents are reported and that the appropriate accident investigations are performed, and the appropriate documentation completed.
- Review all safety incidents with crew members during the Huddle process and seek their input regarding potential solutions to prevent the accident from reoccurring.
- Deliver monthly crew safety talks, or more frequently if deemed necessary by the department manager. Perform scheduled safety audits and inspections.
- Follow up to ensure that all safety related work requests are completed in a timely manner.
- All SWPs and related training must be updated/controlled.

The Supervisor ensures that all aspects of product **_Quality_** are understood and achieved:

- Ensure the quality of storage, packaging and loading of product for transport as related to both inbound and outbound loads (Shipping/Receiving)
- Communicate regularly with internal and/or external customers to establish and maintain a clear understanding of their needs pertaining to product quality, disseminating this information throughout the department as appropriate.
- Review all Shipping/Receiving related concerns with crew members during the Huddle process and seek their input regarding potential solutions to prevent the problem from reoccurring.
- Ensure that all quality checks are completed by operating personnel as required.
- Regularly audit employees to ensure that all established SOPs, SWPs and SOCs are being followed.
- Provide feedback to department manager regarding required changes in established operating protocols.
- Work closely with Quality Control (Lab Services) and ensure the timely hold/release from hold material, as it pertains to outbound shipments.
- Follow up on all customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Follow up on all concerns related to goods being received at Winpak’s facility.
- Oversee and provide support for all Forklift training. Work with the applicable Forklift trainer to ensure all training plans are up to date and in compliance with the required safety standards.
- Oversee and provide support in the maintenance of Forklifts, Batteries, and Chargers. Work with the applicable staff members to ensure processes are in place, allowing for proper care and maintenance of this equipment.

Ensure that Shipping/Receiving/Warehouse is achieving the established targets for **_Productivity_**:

- Assist the department manager in establishing clearly defined department goals, objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department and make an active contribution to achieving them.
- Report on the performance of the crew and department on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as determined by the manager.
- Monitor individual employee performance, ensuring that they have the required training, equipment and materials to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
- Take timely actions to improve employee performance. Involve department manager/HR department in all cases involving employee discipline.
- Record and categorize all overtime incurred on a monthly basis.
- Support/Direct internal transfers of materials between Winpak’s primary facility and local off-site warehouse locations.
- Provide support and instruction with regards to performing inventory counts.
- Work with other production supervisors to ensure all materials are delivered on time.
- Actively support Winpak’s continuous improvement initiatives by leading and-or supporting problem solving and process
