Accounts Receivable Administrator

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Administrator to join our team As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of transactions. You will process and monitor incoming payments, verify, and post receipts. This position requires regular contact with internal and external parties. This position is a fixed term contract to cover for a maternity leave. Work is scheduled Monday through Friday in the office, 40 hours per week, located in Markham, Ontario.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Monitor accounts and incoming payments,
- Perform verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data,
- Assist on collection efforts,
- Respond to and resolve clients’ billing issues ad questions,
- Prepare and manage bills, invoices, and bank deposits,
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger,
- Make sure that all payments are properly posted,
- Assist in preparing detailing accounts receivable status,
- Set up new customers,
- File maintenance,
- Other duties as assigned.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections and similar roles,
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles,
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as, strong customer service skills,
- Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures in a timely manner,
- Proficient data entry skills,
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.),
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills,
- Good team player,
- Good time-management skills,
- Required to be self-motivated and be able to complete daily tasks independently with “can do” attitude,
- Degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 13 months
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
