The successful applicant will be part of the Pediatric Neurology Neuromuscular Program at Children’s Hospital, London Health Sciences Centre. We are looking for a Research Coordinator with experience in clinical trials. Responsibilities will include; study planning, data collection and coordinating studies within Pediatric Neuromuscular Research Program. The position will include Research Ethics Board and Health Canada submissions, regulatory compliance and correspondence, as well as maintenance of essential study documents and study files. The applicant will be responsible for the overall conduct of their research projects including participant visits and communications with internal and external stakeholders. The position also includes grant, manuscript, abstract and poster preparation and submission.

**Rate of Pay**:To commensurate with experience

**Hours of Work**:37.5 hours per week

**Duration**:One year contract with possibility of renewal

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in health-related field or equivalent
- GCP and IATA training an asset
- Minimum of 5 years clinical trial research experience
- Biological sample processing experience an asset
- Experience with Research Ethic Board submissions and correspondence, both local and central an asset
- Working knowledge or prior experience in Human Research Ethics, Tri-council policy, Good Clinical Practices, Health Canada and FDA regulations an asset
- Strong working understanding of Western and Lawson Research processes
- Experience with REDCap, EDC and IWRS preferred
- Experience with manuscript preparation an asset
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficient time management skills with ability to meet tight deadlines
- Responsible and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative in an environment with limited supervision
- Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments in a timely manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centred care
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety at LHSC
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis

Immunization Requirements:

- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/ Diphtheria/Polio; Meningitis.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing (two step) and COVID vaccine series.
