**The Role: Program Manager (full-time)**
- Home Fire is a scattered site, housing first program for Indigenous identifying youth ages 16 to 24 who are experiencing homelessness. With a focus on harm reduction and land-based learning, the Housing Support Worker creates a space for Youth to effectively deal with issues surrounding homelessness, explore healing from intergenerational trauma, reconcile with natural supports, and strengthen community connections.**Key Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Program Management_
- Commitment to Racial Equity and Reconciliation and ongoing learning to embed these practices into all three strategic priorities and the program framework.
- Organization, delegation, management, and performance monitoring within designated program(s)/service delivery area.
- Provide Program Staff with formal supervision to ensure programs are working in alignment with Trellis’s strategic plan.
- Support and lead aspects of advancing Trellis’s strategic goals of more integrated approaches of various programs within Trellis.
- Ensure and maintain program safety while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain strong community partnerships with relevant stakeholder relations that promote awareness of Trellis programs, and work in collaborations with various stakeholders wherever possible to best meet the needs of the community served.
- Participate on internal or external committees as needed, providing, and encouraging the same professional opportunities for Program staff.
- Participate in the implementation of the Trellis Strategic Plan, attend management and leadership meetings on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure opportunities for clients, and staff to provide feedback on programs, services, and workplace within the agency.
- Employee Development & Training_
- Supporting Staff in managing grievances, performance concerns, probations and/or dismissals.
- Supporting frontline staff and practicum student recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Oversight to ensure that all staff receive the appropriate trainings and onboarding requirements within the designated timeframe in accordance with accreditation standards.
- Provide support, consultation, and advocacy on case management and supervisory roles of staff.
- Create and maintain a positive, supportive, and rewarding work environment in alignment with strategic goals.
- Seek out, facilitate, and organize mandatory and relevant professional development trainings and workshops for staff, maintaining certification as a trainer in specialty areas.
