**Salary**: Min $30.87 - Max $35.77

**What you will do**:
The Business Support Officer is responsible for providing financial and administrative support for the Longo Faculty of Business. The incumbent reports to and works closely with the Associate Director, Operations to handle multiple financial and budgetary responsibilities and solve complex problems in a fast-paced and challenging academic environment. The Business Support Officer is responsible for monitoring, reviewing and reporting on the business and financial operations of over 60 program areas and five retail outlets across both North and Lakeshore campus.

Duties for the Business Support Officer position include, but are not limited to purchasing, expense processing, budgetary reporting and the tracking of both academic equipment and academic software. The Business Support Officer will also undertake responsibility for special assignments and projects as assigned by the Associate Director, Operations. The incumbent will deal with confidential financial information on a regular basis and will display tact, discretion, and diplomacy at all times. Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of accuracy are required to provide a variety of reports and information designed to support the Longo Faculty of Business in managing their operations and finances. The duties of this position require knowledge of education and the financial environment as a whole. This role will also require the incumbent to travel between campuses.

**Experience**

The incumbent will have a minimum of 5-years of professional experience. This includes experience in:

- Strong academic background, including undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Experience working in a post-secondary institution or other complex organization.
- Strong analytical skills, specifically, the ability to assess and breakdown processes.
- Ability to analyze financial information (e.g. revenues, expenditures) for a large and complex budget ensuring all operations fall within primary budget limitations.
- Ability to identify variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period for each budget unit.
- Working knowledge of Humber College software (Office 365, Banner Finance, Cognos Reports, MyHumber).

- Proven ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize and manage deadlines.
