**Position Title**: Business Analyst

**Status**:Full-Time Contract (12 months)

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week

**Faculty/Department**:DXP/CMS, Information Technology Services (ITS)

**Campus/Location**:North Campus - Hybrid model (a mix of home and in-office workdays)

**Payband/Hourly Rate**:$100,000 annually

***What you will do**:
Under the guidance of the DXP/CMS Program Leadership Team, the Business Analyst is responsible for defining and leading the business analysis work required within multiple workstreams to implement a Digital Experience Platform (DXP), Content Management System (CMS) and Digital Asset Manager (DAM) at the college.

The Business Analyst is responsible for leading the elicitation and documentation of functional requirements as well as playing a key role in the delivery of several processes/procedures (e.g., Policies, Standards and Guidelines).

The Business Analyst is an experienced lead, facilitator, and writer within the organization with strong understanding of business, how technology can support business goals and advanced analytical abilities to understand a higher education institution such as Humber College. The Business Analyst also possesses an aptitude for translating a wide range of ideas and business goals into business requirements and into functional specifications within the Digital Experience Platform. The Business Analyst has an, ease of illustrating and explaining technical concepts to non-technical users, acting as a bridge between the functional areas and the technical team as well as a fulfilling the role of change champion for this transformative program.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Learn and understand critical capabilities of a Digital Experience Platform and how they can be leveraged to meet business goals centered around Humber’s Digital Campus Plan
- Anticipate areas within the DXP/CMS platform which require more detailed requirements refinement (e.g. personas, user journeys) to meet user needs, meet DXP/CMS Program objectives and reduce implementation risks; plan and lead workshops and one on one sessions with both business and technical staff to elicit and document requirements
- Prepare and deliver high-quality, effective presentations to communicate ideas and recommendations to the project and leadership teams
- Plan and lead interviews/workshops with SMEs to create new and/or update existing Web Policies, Standards and Guidelines
- Assess and optimize the level of detailed documentation required; prepare “just in time” and “just enough” documentation to support configuration, development, quality assurance, training and change management activities
- Lead the preparation of business cases, impact analysis specifications, cost/benefit analysis and gap analysis
- Provide input and insight to the development of data migration from multiple source systems conversion and implementation strategies
- Utilize extensive knowledge of systems development lifecycle methodologies (waterfall and iterative) to drive timely and high-quality deliverables
- Work closely with the business groups to facilitate workshops, gather information, analyze current processes, and define requirements; analyze requirements for improvements to the current state
