Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM is looking for an entrepreneurial Events Experience Manager to join and support the Canadian Team.

The Event Experience Manager is focused on crafting the very best on and offline event experiences for clients and advise how event experiences play in the overall customer journey. You will play acritical role in developing and delivering compelling client experiences that generate business for IBM.

The Event Experience Manager will develop strategic plans with touch points across the end-to-end campaign, and partner closely with agencies and vendors to bring the plans to life. Behind the scenes, you will be responsible for understanding event marketing tools and processes, collaborating closely with the wider marketing team members and sales teams to develop everything from event messaging to the speakers and curriculum for the engagement, and identifying areas for optimization.

You will own the end-to-end process of third party and proprietary event identification, sponsorship, presence and execution, and performance follow up. In addition, you will manage the overall budget and ensure compliance across the event process for each event. You will work with a cross functional team to ensure the main outcomes for the business are achieved.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
4+ years marketing experience in demand generation, field, channel or product marketing

Vendor management experience including negotiating with show producers to ensure sponsorship and presence meet the needs of the business.

Excellent organizational, budget, project management and time management skill

Ability to travel to event venues.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Event marketing experience in technology services and/or Industry is a plus.

Entrepreneurial spirit. Thinks big and acts with urgency and focus, always with optimism for the future.

Takes ownership and effectively maximizes return on marketing investment.

Strong executive communications and experience in managing public speakers.

Stakeholder management skills and experience working with sales leaders and sales teams to drive business objectives.

Creative with continuous innovation and optimization mentality

Thrives in metrics and data-driven environments

Understanding of data privacy rules (GDPR) and compliancefor marketing execution
