Position Description
The Manager, Education will be responsible for the planning and execution of the ILPA Institute’s curriculum of programming currently consisting of 18 programs, delivered 40+ times per year and the ILPA Webcast series of virtual events. The Manager, Education will outline the operations plan for each event, maintain budgets and manage and execute all the logistics attached to each line item and deliver on specific metrics set each year. The role requires flexible working hours during multi-day and full-day events (live and virtual).

Roles and Responsibilities

**Planning**
- Responsible for all logistics and operational aspects of the ILPA educational programming, duties include but are not limited to management of events in CVENT, Salesforce, Zoom and ilpa.org via WordPress
- Create and maintain the annual ILPA Webcast schedule and liaising across the teams to forward plan, market and execute the virtual events
- Support the selling of the education products to both internal and external pipelines
- Manage registration, including all logístical requirements, member inquiries and administration
- Review, evaluate and negotiate event contracts with a variety of vendors to reach the best outcome for the association and annual department budget
- With the Education team, supports the delivery of in-person and virtual programming, which includes onsite support and acting as the program lead when the schedule calls for it

**Execution**
- Demonstrate a customer-centric attitude, being able to solve problems and to assist members and other stakeholders with a calm, courteous, and helpful manner and attitude
- Support the registration process for ILPA Institute programs, including member enquiries, managing the Cvent registration process and updates and WordPress website pages
- Independently run on-site and virtual events, ensuring events run smoothly to ILPA’s high standards
- Provide support across all ILPA events, including major events and member roundtables alongside the

**Events team**
- Offer regular feedback within the Events team to continually improve programming and department operations, to ensure they provide value to attendees and to plan and implement changes
- Manage event collateral and shipments to/from programs
- Additional projects will be assigned based on ILPA’s needs, the Manager’s bandwidth and alignment with their skill set/expertise

**Multi-Stakeholder Engagement**
- Liaise with internal team and key external stakeholders to successfully execute events
- Manage vendor sourcing, evaluation management and vendor relationships
- Leverage process-design tools, enabling consistent execution and scalability

**Leadership**
- Oversee/manage venue management, audio-visual, room layouts and design
- Lend skills and support to other ILPA events as necessary
- Contribute to the growth and innovation of the education programming, including the research and development of expansion into new markets and new programming

Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in event management, hospitality or related field or diploma
- Four to six years of experience or equivalent in event management, hospitality or related fields
- Registration and communications best practices, experience with event registration platforms, including Cvent and Salesforce, is considered a strong asset
- Experience with Zoom technology, particularly pertaining to live meetings and webcasts (polling, breakout rooms)
- Experience with Pardot or similar marketing automation tools considered an asset
- Previous experience in association, financial services, private equity and/or limited partnerships is considered a strong asset
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Problem-solving and management through stressful situations; resourceful and forward thinking by anticipating future issues
- Demonstrated project management skills, with the proven ability to work within strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Process design expertise, enabling consistent execution and scalability
- Meticulously detail-oriented with lens to make the complex information digestible to all
- Team player who is highly collaborative
- Excellent interpersonal skills, written and verbal
