**POSITION**

The HR Coordinator will perform numerous Human Resources related tasks. These will include end to end hiring and termination procedures, working with external agencies to hire international contractors based mainly in South America, assist on tracking vacation time, perform backup role for payroll, and answer other related employee questions as needed.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Assist managers in recruitment activities including creating job posting and posting on relevant job boards, screening resumes, conducting pre-screening telephone interviews, arrange in person interviews, conduct reference checks when required
- Setup, direct external contracts with international employment agencies for International contractors
- Support with off-boarding employees
- Assist in creating HR-related reports, resources and communications materials including company policies, procedures, etc.
- Process benefit enrolment forms
- Overseeing vacation and sick time tracking
- Answer employee’s inquiries
- Providing coverage for vacations in Payroll and other Administration roles
- Assist in developing employee handbook

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of work experience in an HR role with a focus on hiring and onboarding
- Strong experience with Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel
- Must have experience with benefits plans, payroll, HR tracking software and preferably with a background in Canada Life Group Administration, ADP, BambooHR
- High attention to detail and discretion with information
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
- Ability to stay on task, independent and self-driven to get the work completed
- Flexibility to different tasks, adaptable and quick to learn
- Outstanding time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under short deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- MUST be relationship focused, with an approachable style and ability to establish rapport with employees and key partners at all levels
