**The Opportunity**

The program hires mothers as Home Visitors who were clients in HIPPY program before, this opportunity offers an on-the-job workplace training, goal setting and job-search support to transition to other jobs and/or higher education. Home Visitors also gain valuable Canadian work experience, which is vital to take the next step in their career.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitors and ensures IRCC HIPPY Plus/SMART program service quality, enrolment, utilization, and evaluation as specified in the Contribution agreement.
- Monitors and tracks program funds alongside the manger and maintain financial record an accordance to established procedures, and provide input to the manager in preparation of the program budget.
- Supports in the collection and compilation of data for reports to IRCC.
- Ensure that HIPPY manager is informed and updated on issues to direct services delivery, especially those that may present risk.
- Work with the manager to resolve employee/team concerns.
- Developing schedule for upcoming HIPPY year.
- Participates in the recruitment and selection of staff by performing duties such as, screening resumes, interviewing and provide input on selection to the manager.
- Working with the manager to ensure and/or orientation for new staff.
- Registration and updating clints and Home Visitors demographics on ETO
- Updating and maintaining accurate caseloads for each Home Visitor on ETO.
- Purchasing HIPPY program curriculum and materials, distributing, tracking materials on a weekly basis.
- Monitor and review service delivery including quality of care, making periodic home visits, supervisory home visitations for Home Visitors at the client’s house.
- Supervising and ensuring accurate timely completion of data into the ETO system, which includes preservice trainings, weekly roll play meeting, Home Visitors Progress Reports 4 time/HV/year, Parents Progress Report 4 time/year/for every HIPPY Parent.
- Planning and preparation for initial and regular site visits by Mothers Matter Centre staff or a designee.
- Working in conjunction with the local HIPPY advisory committee.
- Establishing effective partnerships with other human service organizations to ensure optimal service delivery to participating families.
- Participation in local (regional) and national HIPPY conferences (once a year), in-service training, and meetings (once a month).
- Supervising daily checking on Home Visitors, when doing home visitations, in/out of clients houses, to ensure HV safety, and be available in case of emergency.
- All other relevant duties as assigned by the manager.
- Diploma in related human/social services field;
- A minimum of 2-year experience in program coordination and supervising staff, preferably within a unionized setting; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
- Experience working with budgets or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Experience with ICare database.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team setting;
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and meet deadlines;
- Strong computer literacy skills (including MS Windows, MS Word, MS Works, MS Excel and the internet);
- Experience working with immigrants, refugees and refugee claimant issues and knowledge of the settlement sector;
- Sound knowledge of community resources and ability to network and build partnerships.
