**Sales Representative**

The Sales Representative is responsible for developing and increasing market share and new revenue growth in the Small/Medium Business (SMB) market. This representative will reach business targets through excellent telephone sales, outside sales and communications skills using a courteous and knowledgeable approach. The Technical Sales Representative will also develop his/her revenue generation through the creation of sales leads, initiation of prospect calls, and establishment of ongoing rapport with existing and potential customers leading to future sales. Integrity, vision, and passion are essential for this role.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Develop and achieve a targeted sales plan within the SMB space
- Achieve sales budget and other financial goals set by Senior Leadership
- Keep accurate reports with respect to sales and prospects as instructed from time to time.
- Participate in market development, such as industry events, industry stakeholder/regulatory meetings, analyst meetings as required.
- Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge.
- Performs other duties as required.

**Qualifications**
- Post-Secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration or Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 3 years previous outside sales experience in the telecommunications industry
- Advance knowledge of IP related products such as VOIP, Transparent LAN and IP Transit is required
- Experience with developing Marketing and Sales plans
- In-depth knowledge of the Telcom marketplace
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to make excellent sales to achieve performance in alignment with goals and objectives.
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Motivated and creative team player
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills.
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers, co-workers and external partners.
- Working knowledge of budgeting
- Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
- Ability to occasionally travel and attend sales events or exhibits.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle.
