This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Burnaby, BC,
**THE OPPORTUNITY**
The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for providing support to the corporate Human Resources Department. They will be responsible for processing new employee paperwork, maintaining employee information in our HRIS (ADP Workforce Now), assisting with benefits administration, and other areas as directed. Clerical work will include the writing and distribution of information to our branches, preparing reports, and filing paperwork.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Reviews new hire paperwork for proper completion and enters new hire information into ADP.
- Maintains employee information in ADP - processes wage changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
- Updates employee contact information in ADP.
- Notifies IT Department and benefit providers of employee terminations.
- Assists with benefits administration - processes benefit change forms and distributes benefit cards to employees.
- Sets up new employees with required safety training and monitors completion.
- Orders service award cards and/or gifts for upcoming employee anniversaries each month.
- Files employee performance reviews and sends reminders to supervisors about upcoming and outstanding reviews.
- Drafts and distributes company announcements.
- Drafts offer letters and ensures we are following established offer practices.
- Performs other duties as requested by the HR Generalist or VP of HR.
**WHAT WE LOOK FOR**
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or a related field preferred
- At least 2 years’ experience in an administrative position with experience working in Human Resources
- Strong MS Office skills in Word and Excel
- Strong communications skills and customer service approach, responds in a timely manner to questions and requests
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comprehension
- Excellent attention to detail, accurate keyboarding and data entry skills
