- The incumbent Product Manager is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, developing, testing, launching and maintaining the life cycle of new and existing products within Cogeco's digital video product portfolio. This includes one or more the retail device platforms such as AppleTV, Amazon Fire TV, Roku and others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- In the course of his/her work, the incumbent:

- Designing a product strategy.- The Product Manager analyzes the existing product requirements and devises a strategy for implementing new features and processes into the product life cycle.- Developing and evolving new and existing video products (both digital and physical assets)- The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining business cases related to evolving the product experience-
- Creating release schedules in conjunction with Video Engineering and key business stakeholders- Review product performance metrics and analyze potential opportunities.- The Product Manager will consult various sources such as customer feedback surveys, social media posts, product analytics, focus groups and other data sources to identify improvements, new features and partnership opportunities for the video products.- Create and prioritize the product backlog- Maintain a prioritized list of features video product releases-
- Prioritize defects and drive them to resolution within their team and/or with external vendor support- Enhance the end-user experience of Cogeco’s video products- The Product Manager will be responsible for the User Experience Design of both the video hardware (if applicable) and software components- Ensure smooth product launches in addition to incremental feature updates- The Product Manager will directly oversee new and incremental feature launches for all Cogeco Video products- Engage with key product stakeholders- The Product Manager works with key stakeholders to communicate delivery schedules, cost estimates, near and long term strategy in addition to product health metrics- Create and maintain the functional product roadmaps for Video products and components they manage

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

ACADEMIC TRAINING- Bachelor's degree or an associate’s degree in a relevant discipline e.g. Software Engineering, Marketing-
- Any comparable education with relevant experience- WORK EXPERIENCE- Minimum of 2-4 years experience in Product Management, Product Marketing or equivalent-
- Experience in product development and/or software engineering- SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES- Understanding of Agile development methodologies-
- Strong product management skills incl experience in Product Development considered an asset-
- Autonomy, initiative, judgment and organizational skills.-
- Deep understanding of customer needs-
- Excellent communication skills.-
- Ability to maintain good relations with vendors and suppliers.-
- Interpersonal skills, discretion and diplomacy.-
- Good ability to work in a team environment.-
- Experience working in Atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence) is considered an asset-
- Knowledge of the Google Android TV Ecosystem is considered an asset-
- Embedded system design (system on a chip) and integration experience is considered an asset.-
