**Position Overview**

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will partner directly with hiring managers supporting the hiring needs at the Home/Community level.

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, this role will determine the right selection criteria and process for high-volume hiring needs across multiple departments and functions. Using a consultative approach, the Specialist will work with our Home/Community leadership to understand their business and hiring needs, while guiding them through the end-to-end recruitment process.

**Responsibilities of the Talent Acquisition Specialist at **Arbour Creek Care Centre
- Recruitment Life Cycle_
- Lead job requisition gathering sessions with Home/Community leadership team to determine the appropriate knowledge, skills and capabilities requirements prior to post
- Plan interview and selection procedures, including targeted search strategy
- Ensure recruitment activity is updated regularly in the ATS, reporting on hiring metrics, trends, successes and challenges
- Understand hiring forecasts based on analysis of recruitment and attrition data
- Develop strong partnerships and relationships with hiring managers across the business unit and within the Homes/Communities
- Campus Recruitment_
- Represent and promote the Home/Community’s brand and value proposition at external recruitment events, such as job fairs, etc., in a positive and professional manner
- Build campus relationships with key stakeholders
- In partnership with Home/Communities, track student placements and conversion
- Channels, Platforms & Tools_
- Ensure all users are trained and understand how to use and optimize the ATS
- Audit processes, data and user experience(s) and recommend improvements
- Keep abreast of innovative recruitment technologies and platforms
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**

- University /College degree in Human Resources Management or another related discipline
- 3+ years high volume recruitment experience in a multi-union and fast-paced organization is essential
- Holds or is working towards the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), CHRP, or equivalent designation from the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA)
- Knowledge of employment law related to recruitment
- Experience in long-term care and retirement is an asset
- Ability to coach, guide and counsel hiring managers and team members across all levels of the organization
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Experience in leveraging new technology and emerging processes such as applicant tracking tools and systems, social media and HRIS platforms
- Experience with behavioural and cognitive assessments such as Predictive Index
- Demonstrate good judgment, discretion and sensitivity to confidentiality
- Excellent time management, sense of urgency and attention to detail are critical
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, and resourcefulness with a high degree of initiative
- Some experience with the process of obtaining foreign worker status and immigration processes
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and matrix-led environment
- Must have a clear vulnerable sector screen, no older than 6 months, TB test results less than 6 months old, must be able to provide three supervisory references.
